Juan
Mayorga is a banana worker from Costa Rica's Limón province.
He worked on a plantation called Dos Rios which was the focus of a campaign
here in Britain because of poor working conditions, low pay and trade
union persecution. When the plantation was sold all the workers were
sacked but Juan along with another 150 tried to organize an occupation
of the plantation and tried to organise a workers' collective to run
the farm.
